This is a great hidden gem in the uptown area. Located in an old historic 2 story store front building this yoga studio has great character and even better teachers. Uptown Yoga offers a full assortment of classes from basic yogaflow to advanced level 2 and 3 yoga. They also offer a Hathra class and even a few core classes. It it located on Thomas in Uptown near Central and Hall St.
The classes are small and the room is large. The wall is not mirrored, instead they have a few picture frame mirrors. They do have a full bathroom with a shower.

American Power Yoga is located on Mockingbird near Central above Jason’s Deli. The studio is large with a mirrored wall and it is kept heated in the mid 80’s for a good hot workout. They offer several classes every day and have a couple of level 2 classes each week.
They practice an active power yoga style and you will definitely break a nice sweat while you are there. The practice is basic and few advanced poses are practiced. This is a great studio if you are new to yoga and looking to gain an understanding of yoga or just to keep your practice active. They offer matt rentals, towels and even sell water. They have changing rooms and a bathroom in the back.
